Tours Terms & Conditions

How to Book

A Reservation Form (which will be provided upon request) and must be completed and returned to Travels at Leisure (PTY) Ltd by email: info@travelsatleisure.com or fax 086 710 2706.

Travels at Leisure (PTY) Ltd will confirm your place on the chosen tour subject to availability with The Operator.

Prices

Prices are subject to change without prior notification, prices are also subject to adjustment in the event of changes of government imposed taxes, fuel prices, hotel charges, tourism levies and or the introduction of national regional or local taxes or levies of whatever nature.

All prices are quoted in ZA Rand unless otherwise specified.

Any shortfall during payment, resulting from exchange rate fluctuations, will be for the account of the passenger.

Tour Price Inclusions

Rates include the necessary entrance fees unless otherwise specified.

Tour Price Exclusions

Rates do not include optional extras for e.g. Table Mountain tickets, Seal Island Boat trips etc.

Rates do not include any meals, except where mentioned in the itinerary.

Rates exclude any tips and gratuities, personal items, air and rail fares, (unless specified as part
of a package) visas, health requirements and immigration requirements. Travels at Leisure
(PTY) Ltd and The Operator acting on our behalf accept no responsibility if such documentation
is not in order.

Payment

Thirty percent (30%) of any tour price is due and payable on booking the tour. Final payment is due and payable 30 days before departure. Bookings made within 30 days of departure must be accompanied by full payment. Travels at Leisure (PTY) Ltd accept payment by electronic funds transfer only. Bank details will be provided on Invoice.

Child Policy

Children of all ages are welcome on scheduled day tours. Bookings on escorted, overland tours are strictly subject to the availability of child friendly accommodation at the time of request.

Amendments and Cancellations

All amendments and cancellations shall only be valid if received by Travels at Leisure Pty Ltd in writing.

For any reservations cancelled within 30 days of the arrival date, a charge to the full value of the service booked will be made and any refund is subject to the discretion of The Management of Travels at Leisure (PTY) Ltd and The Operator. These cancellation fees are subject to the discretion of Travels at Leisure (Pty) Ltd and The Operator.

Please note that en route amendments and cancellations may incur additional fees as determined by The Operator acting on behalf of Travels at Leisure (Pty) Ltd. Any such additional amounts due as a result of such amendments or cancellations are payable directly to The Operator.

No refunds will be made for no-shows or any unused services irrespective of whether they form part of the basic tour price or whether they are in respect of pre booked optional arrangements.

Accommodation

Accommodation, if applicable will be specified in the tour itinerary.

Meals

Meals, if applicable will be specified in the tour itinerary.

Transportation

Travels at Leisure (PTY) Ltd makes use of reputable registered and licensed Operators and we make every effort to ensure that the various services making up your tour will be carried out efficiently and as specified.

Transportation is in air conditioned luxury Sedans, Mini-vans, Quantum’s or Sprinters appropriate to the requirements of the Tour and based on passenger numbers.

Health and Visas

It is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure that all the necessary documentation and or precautionary medication measurements are attended to prior to travel. Travels at Leisure (Pty) Ltd and its Operators do not accept responsibility in this regard.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted on board any travel vehicles. Comfort stops will be made en route.

Delays

Travels at Leisure PTY Ltd and The Operator shall not be responsible for the consequences of any delays whether arising from accidents, breakdowns, or any other cause.

Luggage

On overland tours, 1 suitcase and 1 overnight bag per person is allowed. Travels at Leisure (Pty) Ltd and The Operator accept no responsibility for loss or damage to luggage or personal property from whatsoever cause arising. Passengers are advised to take up adequate insurance cover.

Responsibility

In instances where provision of services is made by Hotels, Airlines and Suppliers, Travels at Leisure (PTY) Ltd and The Operator shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, additional costs, accident, delay or irregularity that may be occasioned by any error or default.

Alterations

Travels at Leisure (Pty) Ltd make use of other Operators to provide a top quality, professional service to meet the required standards of their customers. All tours, itineraries, travel arrangements, hotel accommodation and other arrangements are subject to alterations or cancellations at any time, without prior notice and for any reason at the sole and absolute discretion of The Operator. Travels at Leisure (PTY) Ltd shall not be responsible for any damages whatsoever arising from any such alteration or cancellation.

Undertaking

Travels at Leisure undertake to only use reputable, registered and licensed Operators, Drivers and Couriers to conduct the Tours or Transfers in a professional manner, who supply:
• large enough vehicles to accommodate the number of passengers and luggage
• Drivers that are licensed in terms of local legislation
• Vehicles that are safe and comply with relevant safety regulations

Travels at Leisure (PTY) Ltd make every effort to ensure that the various services making up your Tour will be carried out efficiently and as specified by The Operator.

Please be aware that Travels at Leisure Pty Ltd are bound by the Terms and Conditions of The Operators and the Terms and Conditions relating to each tour will be provided to the customer on request for a Quotation.

We advise all passengers:
• to request bookings for day tours at least 48 hours prior to departure.
• to request booking of escorted, overland tours at least 30 days prior to departure to ensure availability of preferred accommodation establishments
• to obey any reasonable and lawful instruction by any employee of The Operator in order to ensure their safety and the smooth running of each tour. The Operator will have at its discretion, the right to enforce rules of conduct and will reserve the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a passenger.
• to advise Travels at Leisure (PTY Ltd of the correct number of passengers travelling, and any special needs and requirements they may, at the time of booking so that these can be communicated to and arranged with The Operator.

Insurance

All passengers are strongly advised to and are solely responsible to take out comprehensive travel insurance and to familiarise themselves with any exceptions and conditions as may be imposed by the insurance company or underwriters issuing the policy of insurance which they select.

Law

The law of the Republic of South Africa shall govern the relationship between Travels at Leisure (Pty) Ltd, The Operator and The Passengers and the Courts of the Republic of South Africa shall have sole jurisdiction in respect of any claims and/or disputes which may arise between Travels at Leisure its Tour Operators and the Passengers.

Client complaints

Travels at Leisure (PTY) Ltd and The Operator’s they use aim to provide the best tour possible. However, if travellers are not satisfied with their experience on the said Tour, they are to bring the issue to the attention of The Tour Manager, Driver or Guide who will do anything reasonably possible to rectify the situation.

If the traveller is not satisfied with their response they must notify The Operator concerned, whose details will be provided to the Customer on acceptance of quote.

If the matter is not resolved to the traveller’s satisfaction, the Traveller must lodge a written complaint to Travels at Leisure (PTY) Ltd within 30 days of the completion of the Tour, by email info@travelsatleisure.com or fax 086 710 2706, the matter will then be addressed with the relevant Operator. Failure to complain as set out above may reduce or extinguish any rights the traveller has to claim compensation.

Disclaimer

Travels at Leisure, their employees, agents and associates shall not be responsible for and shall be exempt for any liability in respect of any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or inconvenience to any person or their luggage or other personal property whether the same shall occur and whether the same shall arise from or be occasioned by the negligence of Travels at Leisure (PTY) Ltd their employees, agents, associates and other persons directly in the employ or service of Travels at Leisure Pty Ltd or The Operator or otherwise under any circumstances whatsoever.

Whether the passenger returns a signed copy of these conditions or not, the conditions will be deemed to have been accepted and will be in force upon confirmation of the booking.
